User Guide

An outline of the typical lifecycle of a user account, from creation onward. Sprinkled throughout will be links to in-depth explanations of certain aspects of the platform.

Prerequisites

1. Ensure that you have the Universal Profile extension installed. UP Extension Download Link

2. Using the UP Extension, make a Universal profile by clicking your UP Extension, and then clicking the "Create Profile" button that appears. Follow the instructions and personalize the profile to your liking.

Creating your Gateway Relay User

1. Go to www.lyxgateway.app.

2. Click on the "Authenticate" button. (If nothing pops up after clicking the button, please refresh and try again). When prompted, select which Universal Profile to associate with your Gateway Relay user, and then click "Select Profile"

3. After selecting your profile, another prompt will show up, asking you to sign a transaction. Click "Sign". After doing this, you will be redirected to your user dashboard. Congratulations! You have successfully made a Gateway Relay User!

Subscribing for Credits

1. Click "Set Payment Method" and enter in your credit card details. For testing purposes, type in the following:

2. Click "Change Subscription Amount", and set any amount you would like to subscribe for (anything above $0.5 is a valid amount), and then click the "Change Subscription Amount".

3. After doing step 2, a few things will happen. Your "Subscription Info" section will update to reflect your new subscription tier, as well as how many credits you will get every month with your current subscription amount. If you were previously unsubscribed, you will see your temporary badge appear.

Earning Credits

There are a multitude of ways to earn credits in Gateway Relay. In this example, we will be specifically using Offers to demonstrate earning credits, but the steps are similar for Surveys and Videos.

1. On the left, you will see a vertical navigation bar. Hover over them until you see the one that says "Offers". Click on that icon.

2. Click on one of the offers and read it's description. Ensure it is something you would like to pursue.

3. Once you have picked the offer you would like to complete, read over the steps and pre-requisites. For testing purposes, each offer allows you to instantly claim it's reward credits. Click the "CLAIM x CREDITS" button, and you will have your credits. Once testing is done and the main net of Lukso is out, users will need to follow the steps of the offer in order to claim their credits.

Sending a Transaction

The "Send Transaction" page will be drastically different when testing is over, as currently, sending a transaction requires the user to input their private key, which will not be required when Lukso main net is out.

1. On the left, find the vertical navigation bar, and hover over the icons until you see the one that says "Send Transaction". Click on that icon.

2. Fill out the three fields accordingly:

   1. Private Key: Retrieve your private key from the UP extension. Ensure that the private key retrieved is the same as the UP that is logged in.

   2. Recipient Address: The address that you are sending the LYX to.

   3. Amount of LYX to send: The amount of LYX you are sending to the recipient. Ensure that the amount you enter is less or equal to the amount of LYX in your UP.

3. Click "Submit".
